Course Description

Explores the difference between interpreting and transliterating. Students will gain the ability to make the most accurate sign choices, additions, omissions, restructuring, mouthing, and code-switching. Students will also learn the decision-making and processing skills necessary to transfer information from spoken English to a signed code, and vice versa, via the practice of transliteration.

Pre-requisites
ASL-232, with a C grade or better, or Instructor Permission.
