Politics is the study of who gets what, when, and how through government or other instruments of power. Power can be exercised by individuals, interest groups, parties, nation-states, or international organizations.
Political science also examines the theory and practice of politics by focusing on political behavior and values. Subfields include American government, public policy and administration, judicial politics, comparative politics, international relations, and political theory.
