Description

Covers the fundamental skills needed for entry-level employment or entry into a pre-apprenticeship skilled trade program in energy technology, electrical systems or construction technology. Built on stackable credentials, this certificate enables students to choose from a number of different career paths in these areas.

Program Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this program, students should be able to:

  1. Solve work related problems using maths skills.
  2. Communicate ideas and information effectively (both written and orally).
  3. Identify electrical circuits, components, and symbols.
  4. Demonstrate application of mechanical power transfer though hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  5. Identify multiple job-related environmental, safety, and ergonomic applied principles.
  6. Utilize digital literacy.
