Provides special study in the area of art, organized by discipline or other criteria. This course may be taken twice for credit, six hours maximum. Specific topics and any prerequisites are listed in the current semester’s class schedule or may be obtained through the departmental office.

Upon selection of a given topic, a set of objectives will be created. The said objectives will be presented to the full time art faculty to vote on and/or amend. Upon a voted approval, the objectives will be put in place for the specific class offering. Detailed course syllabi for each section of ART 234 must be approved by the Division prior to the course being offered. A copy of the specific course syllabi will be presented to the Area Council and College Council by the Associate Dean, "For Information Only," at the first meeting after the beginning of the term the course is offered.
