An entry-level welding course in electric welding processes and cutting processes relating to the repair and maintenance of the automobile.

  1. Setup and adjust gas cutting station.
  2. Setup and adjust SMAW welding station.

  6. Perform satisfactorily weldments on steel.
  7. Cut steel and aluminum using plasma torch.

Assessment of Academic Achievement

Quizzes, and a written final examination. Measurable objectives will be evaluated on the basis of instructor evaluations for lab activities.

General Course Requirements and Recommendations

Students must take notes on demonstrations, carefully read and analyze assigned course materials, and perform exercises to determine their competence in performance of basic automotive service tasks.
