To provide students the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of Trade & Apprentice Education, utilizing digital learning materials and hands-on labs.

Upons successful completion of this course, the student should be able to:

1. List procedures for properly handling and storing maintenance equipment. 2. Identify six styles of gears. 3. Calculate the speed and/or number of teeth of a gear using standard gear-based mathematics.* 4. Identify different styles of cams from a selection. 5. Identify failure patterns of selected cam followers.
