Henry Ford College (HFC) prepares students to take weld certification exams. HFC is not a weld testing certification facility. Because HFC is not an AWS Accredited Testing Facility, if a student submits a written request to take the AWS certification test, or any other weld certification test, the request may be sent to a third-party vendor to both administer the weld test and to determine if the student meets the required certification. The student is responsible for all weld certification testing fees.
Assessment and Requirements
• Weld test utilizing testing procedures.
Texts, handouts, and/or workbooks will be determined by the Welding Technology department faculty.
