Examines how to identify barriers to personal growth and how to overcome those barriers to find friendship, love and happiness.

Goals, Topics, and Objectives

Core Course Topics
  1. Personal Growth.
    • Define the phrase "personal growth."
    • Demonstrate strategies to measure one's personal growth.
    • Analyze personal growth by using the victim triangle.
  2. Barriers to Personal Growth.
    • Analyze sabotaging behaviors such as: self-defeatism, perfectionism, depression, criticism, being a victim, being a persecutor and living without purpose.
  3. Overcoming Barriers to Personal Growth.
    • Role play how to promote the following positive behaviors: being positive, building confidence, raising one's self-esteem, following through on commitments and accepting responsibilities as well as consequences.
  4. Strategies for Personal Growth.
    • Establish achievable goals.
    • Discuss how to surround one's self with positive people network.
    • Explain how to be friendly to people.
    • Explain how to live and work with a sense of passion.
    • Describe how to take care of one's own physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs.
