Includes the fundamental, intermediate, and advanced skills of bowling with a comprehensive discussion and implementation of the rules, etiquette, and terminology of the game.

Goals, Topics, and Objectives

Goal Statement

HPEA Bowling II is a sequential course designed to teach intermediate and advanced skills of bowling. The student will be given an opportunity to raise his/her average through skill analysis, refinement, and concentrated practice.

  1. Refinement of basic, intermediate, and advanced skills
  2. Scoring (keeping marks, averages, handicapping)
  3. Bowling etiquette
Core Course Learning Objectives (Separated)
  1. Explain the origins and development of bowling.
  2. Perform proper skills: (Delivery, footwork, release, etc.)
  3. Demonstrate how to correctly score a game of bowling.
  4. Describe the basic etiquette of the game.
  5. Describe of the components of physical fitness and the importance of learning life-time sport skills.
  6. Lead a team through tournament competition.
  7. Analyze technique of successful bowlers.
