Catalog Course Description

Explores civil litigation in the context of a personal injury or product liability action. Introduces the substantive laws of negligence, intentional tort, personal-injury, and product liability.

    • Discuss the substantive laws of negligence.
  2. Strict Liability
    • Discuss the substantive laws of strict liability.
  3. Intentional Torts
    • Discuss the substantive laws of intentional torts.
  4. Product Liability
    • Discuss the substantive laws of product liability.
  5. Warranties
    • Discuss the substantive laws of warranties.
  6. Drafting
    • Create and draft pleadings in support of a real or hypothetical personal injury case.
    • Perform legal research successfully using computer assisted research skills.
  7. Ethics
    • Evaluate the ethical considerations and the role of the paralegal on the litigation team.
