Combines the study of musical skills and techniques involved in a staged musical production with performance activity in a major production and/or the classroom.
Goals, Topics, and Objectives
Goal Statement
The dominant focus of attention of musical production will be on live performances by the class members in a musical production open to the public.

Core Course Learning Objectives (Separated)
- Perform all chorus selections of the current musical theatre production.
- Perform all solo/ensemble selections assigned.
- Produce a variety of vocal tones for delivery of lines and songs.
- *Perform in synchronization with other musicians, with and without a conductor.
- Demonstrate ability to coordinate stage direction movement ("blocking") with singing and delivering lines.
- Demonstrate make-up technique and costume preparation appropriate to role.
- Demonstrate appropriate stage presence during public performances.
- Demonstrate ability to stay in character during public performances.
- Demonstrate improved tone, technique, musicianship, and ease of confidence in public performances.
