Presents a comprehensive approach to safety, designed to give the skilled tradesperson the knowledge of safety fundamentals and practices, from the causes of accidents to the study of safety hazards and rules associated with equipment and tools utilized in modern industrial facilities. Successful completers will be issued the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-Hour card for General Industry.

Assessment and Requirements
Worksheets and review sheets for OSHA topics will be assigned for the course. The cumulative score of the assignments will account for 100% of semester grade.
REQUIREMENTS FOR OBTAINING AN OSHA 30-HOUR GENERAL INDUSTRY OUTREACH TRAINING COURSE COMPLETION CARD
To be eligible to receive an OSHA 30-Hour General Industry Outreach Training Course Completion Card, students must meet each of the following requirements:
1 - The course Instructor must be authorized by OSHA to conduct the 30-Hour General Industry Outreach Training Program.
2 - Students complete all assigned worksheets and review sheets for the course.
3 - Students must have no absences from class presentation.
Upon successful completion of the above requirements, the necessary paperwork will be filed for the student to receive an OSHA 30 Hour General Industry Outreach Training Program Course Completion Card issued by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
Texts, handouts, and/or workbooks will be determined by the TAE Department.
