Catalog Course Description

Provides required assessment of knowledge and skill for students in their last semester of course  work before completing their Associate of Arts degree in Telecommunication. Should be taken during the student’s last term of required TCM classes.

Goals, Topics, and Objectives

Core Course Topics
  1. Assessment testing of Telecommunication basics, Film History and Criticism, Media Writing, Media Performance, Audio Production, Video Production, and Broadcast Journalism

  4. Priortizing of significance of Telecommunication theories and approaches in the 21st century
Core Course Learning Objectives (Separated)
  • Prove knowledge of core TCM subject matter through successful testing 
  • Finalize a portfolio review of work in TCM 131, 132, 241, 243, 251, 258, and 261
  • Develop a subjective priority list and essay of theoritical knowledge learned
  • Produce and defend an essay of critical analysis on a specific topic agreed upon by student and instructor*
