Description

Prepares students for a variety of entry-level jobs in the areas of visual effects, digital compositing, green screen, and motion capture.

Program Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this program, students should be able to:

  1. Create a composite using at least 4 elements/layers.
  2. Create a 3D stereo live action clip.
  3. Create a 3D stereo CGI clip from stock materials.
  4. Place and set body markers.
  5. Capture body data.
  6. Clean marker data.
  7. Edit marker data.
  8. Create a body Motion Capture of at least 2 minutes in length mapped to a character in Motion Builder.
Career Opportunities

A variety of career opportunities, as established by the Visual Effects Society (Industry Standard), are accessible with the skills developed in the VFX Certificate. Examples include:
