Program Description

Description

The Engineering Pathway: Electrical/Computer program enables students to complete the courses in the first two and half years of the Bachelor of Science program in Electrical/Computer Engineering at University of Michigan - Dearborn. Students take physics, math, chemistry, general education, and program specific courses required by the engineering program. Upon completion of this program, successful students can transfer to the University of Michigan - Dearborn to complete their final years of engineering. The HFC articulation agreement with the University of Michigan - Dearborn makes the transfer process easier. NOTE: Students should meet with the Engineering Faculty Advisor for assistance with registering for the correct series of courses.

Program Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this program, students should be able to:

  1. Describe the introductory concepts of physical sciences (chemistry and physics).
  2. Demonstrate the ability to work in teams to solve introductory engineering and math problems.
  3. Define the roles of electrical/computer engineers and decide his/her pathway.
Career Opportunities

After successful completion of this program and transfer to a 4-year institution, students can specialize in fields such as Electrical or Computer Engineering.
