Program Description

Description

Provides students with skills and knowledge in the area of graphic design that enhance existing career objectives. Introduction to graphic design software, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Students who benefit from this are professionals in marketing, design fields outside of graphic design. This certificate is not intended for digital and graphic art majors.

Program Goals

To provide introduction of design industry software and techniques to be used in supplemental career fields.

Program Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this program, students should be able to:

  1. Implement appropriate visual treatments for print and digital communications utilizing current industry design software and equipment to augment existing professional degree.
  2. Construct graphic elements for use in print and digital outcomes, and prepare appropriated file formats for saving work as well as for distribution of final output, whether print, web or file transfer.
Career Opportunities

Enhances current professions such as marketing majors, bloggers-writers, communication majors, interior designers.
