Program Description
Description
The Associate of Arts in Sports Management program prepares students for seamless transfer to a 4-year institution, where they can pursue advanced studies in various fields such as coaching, health and wellness, recreational and sports organizations leadership, management, and/or team leadership.
Program Goals
Prepares students for a seamless transition of the AA in its entirety without loss of credits. Allows students with an AAS or other degrees to complete a bachelor program leading to graduate studies.
Program Learning Outcomes
- Demonstrate a foundational understanding of the psychosocial processes that apply to sports and exercise
- Develop strong written and oral communication abilities to manage communication with owners, media, athletes, sponsors and spectators..
- Develop a holistic understanding of theories and practices for health and wellness.
- Demonstrate a foundational understanding of statistical concepts and methods.
General Education

Category 1: English Composition
Complete any one course from the Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA) list.

Category 3: Mathematics
