  • Graduation Requirements

    Once you have met the graduation requirements, you must submit an application to receive a bachelor's degree, associate degree or a certificate of achievement.

    Many students choose HFC as their starting point before transferring to a four-year college or university. Understand your transfer options.

HFC has exceptional University Center partnerships with many universities in the region. Students can take classes at HFC, then transfer to one of these universities where they can enroll in classes on the HFC campus to save time and money while remaining close to home.

Other Programs

  • Continuing Education Units

    Continuing Education Units (CEU) are awarded in recognition of completion of certain non-credit courses and programs. CEU credits do not apply to certificate or degree requirements. For additional information, please visit the Workforce and Professional Development website.

  • Cooperative Education (Co-op)

    Cooperative Education (Co-op) is an academic partnership in which the College and the employer join to provide the student with a method of learning which integrates work experience and classroom instruction.

  • English Language Institute (ELI)

    The English Language Institute (ELI) offers instruction in American English language and culture. The ELI serves a diverse population to help students meet their English language goals.

  • Skilled Trades and Apprenticeship

    Grow your own talent by creating an apprentice program through HFC. We can help you train and certify future employees. Contact the HFC Skilled Trades and Apprentice Division at 313-845-6415 for guidance creating an apprentice program, or browse existing apprentice programs

  • Workforce Development

    Provide your employees with on-going training. HFC can provide on-location instruction, host training at our main campus or HFC M-TEC Center. Choose from our existing classes or create a customized class. Contact our Corporate Training Office at 313-845-9670 or CTAssess@hfcc.edu for more information.
