Catalog Course Description
Explains how to perform engine tune-up and maintenance procedures. Discusses ignition system operation along with basic computer engine control. Devotes laboratory time to performing actual on-car procedures using appropriate test equipment.

- Review of basic electricity and electronics
- The ignition system and engine operation.
- Function of ignition primary and secondary circuits and their components.
- Ignition timing and spark advance control.
- Oscilloscope and digital testing equipment.
- On-board diagnostic terminology and testing.

- Identify elements in the modern ignition system.
- Test primary and secondary ignition circuits.
