General Course Requirements and Recommendations

This course is taught 100% online in synchronous format. Synchronous format means that there will be weekly real-time class meetings in which you must be present. These meetings will be conducted using the “Microsoft Teams Application.” You need Internet access and a supported web browser like Chrome, Firefox or Safari in order to complete this class and the required assignments. The textbook is a part of the online materials. This is a 1-credit course, which means that the student has to attend 1 1/2 hours of instruction and put in additional study time for required assignments. Class participation means you are present and participate in real time chat during the sessions. The class week begins on Monday and ends Sunday night. The HFC Moodle system contains the additional readings and exercises for each week that should be completed by Sunday night before the next class.
