Introduces the basics of UG NX and its functionality. Utilizes modeling, sketch creation, drafting, and assembly task environments to create and edit models that are properly constructed and constrained.

- Create, fully constrain, and apply good editing techniques to a sketch.
- Use solid creation commands to develop a 3-dimensional (3D) model from a properly constrained sketch.
- Apply basic orthographic principles in creating 2-dimensional (2D) mechanical drawings.
- Employ basic assembly techniques.
- Modify and edit 3D solid models.
- Develop base views, auxiliary views, and types of section views.
- Interpret and manipulate the part navigator.
