Catalog Course Description

Introduces the basics of UG NX and its functionality. Utilizes modeling, sketch creation, drafting, and assembly task environments to create and edit models that are properly constructed and constrained.

  1. Create, fully constrain, and apply good editing techniques to a sketch.
  2. Use solid creation commands to develop a 3-dimensional (3D) model from a properly constrained sketch.
  3. Apply basic orthographic principles in creating 2-dimensional (2D) mechanical drawings.
  4. Employ basic assembly techniques.
  5. Modify and edit 3D solid models.
  6. Develop base views, auxiliary views, and types of section views.
  7. Interpret and manipulate the part navigator.
