An unpaid internship which provides paralegal students with the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to “real-world” situations by experiencing meaningful legal work in a professional setting. Students engage directly with lawyers and other legal professionals to gain work experience directly related to their paralegal studies major.

- Professional Ethics
- Demonstrate professional and ethical behavior in a legal work environment.
- Learning Objectives
- Prepare personalized learning objectives and perform professional activities that meet each objective.
- Paralegal Work-Product
- Perform work and assigned tasks in a manner commensurate with a professional paralegal.
- Time Management
- Develop time management and billing skills in a manner similar to methods commonly used in a law office.
- Portfolio
- Create a portfolio of sample legal documents for use in searching for a paralegal position, while protecting client confidentiality.
- Self Assessment
- Complete and document self-assessments of performance at the internship.
