Introduces the basic CAD/Drafting principles, skills, and terminology. Uses hands-on methods through a project-based approach. The purpose of this course is to explore solid modeling techniques that are similar to industry method of operations.

  1. Create a basic mechanical drawing including front, top, and side views of an object.
  2. Apply processes such as DEFINE and CONSTRAIN to convert a sketch to a solid model.*
  3. Edit a sketch using basic editing techniques.
  4. Demonstrate the ability to create a three-dimensional (3D) solid model.
