Pre-requisites
Students place into ENG 094 and the ALP program through self-placement or through multiple-measures assessment as determined by English Department guidelines. Students may appeal placement by scheduling an appointment with the Writing Center for an impromptu, final writing placement assessment.
Co-requisites
ENG-131A section linked with the same instructor. This is a mandatory co-requisite. Students must remain enrolled in both sections to maintain enrollment in the ALP program.
Course Description
ENG-094 is a co-requisite of ENG-131A as part of the Accelerated Learning Program and provides writing, reading, study skills, and non-cognitive instructional support of the ENG-131 curriculum. Course work will help students develop as college writers and readers through discussion, workshop, homework, and occasional reading and writing assignments that complement ENG-131 work.
