Course Description

Fundamentals of Industrial Sewing is an introduction to sewing in the manufacturing industry. In addition to basic sewing techniques, students will learn sewing safety, equipment used in the field of industrial sewing, how to operate industrial sewing equipment, basic troubleshooting and machine maintenance, fabric identification and measuring, and pattern reading and symbols. Students will create various types of tote bags throughout the course to demonstrate skills.
