Course Description

Explores the various aspects of the sciences and natural areas in a foreign country under the direction of a faculty member or members in the sciences. Prior to departure, students meet with the instructor(s) for basic cultural discussions and to choose an individual topic of research. While abroad, students study various aspects of the sciences and culture via the instructor and guides in the country, and conduct research on their individual topics. On their return, students reflect on their study abroad experience, develop their topic of special interest, and present it in the form of a paper, portfolio, or project. Specific travel information will be announced at least one semester prior to departure.
