Course Description
This course is designed to help students become critical readers who confidently engage and interact with what they read. College reading is more substantial and more sophisticated than high school reading or personal reading. Students required to take this course must earn a grade of S (Satisfactory) before taking ENG-131.
Pre-requisites
Students place into ENG 081 through self-placement or through multiple-measures assessment as determined by English Department guidelines.
Co-requisites
Students who place into both ENG 093: Preparation for College Writing and ENG-081: Preparation for College Reading are encouraged to take both classes during the same semester.
