Course Description

An introductory-level course focusing on client side desktop operating systems, including installing, using, maintaining, and securing the system. Covers customizing the system, file management, working with applications, Internet connections, security, and account set-up for multiple and various types of users. Provides an overview of system configuration, troubleshooting, and system maintenance.

Students can receive Credit for Prior College Level Learning (CPCLL) for this course if they possess at least two current, active certifications from major certification organizations (e.g. CompTIA, Microsoft, etc.) specifically focused on at least two different modern client operating systems (e.g. Windows, Apple/Mac, Linux, etc.).
