Course Description
Focuses on developing a residential design for an assigned site and client while following good design and sustainability principles. Includes site analysis and planning, building programming and design, and a set of presentation drawings along with a partial set of construction documents. Along with freehand sketching, course utilizes multiple software applications including, but not limited to, AutoCAD, Google® SketchUp, Photoshop, and PowerPoint.
Pre-requisites
ACT-128, ACT-136, and ACT-150
Credit for Prior College-Level Learning

- Provide, in writing, a request to the department indicating the proposed rationale for requesting credit and describing the type of college-level learning upon which the request is based.
- Submit a portfolio of work and documentation to substantiate the request.
- Schedule an interview with the appropriate instructor(s) to discuss the request and portfolio.
