Course Description
Explores various types of gas and oil furnaces and their proper sequence of operation. Students will learn and discuss the knowledge that is needed and used in the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR) systems that are installed out in the field. Topics will include an introduction to gas and oil heating, combustion, furnace installation, venting, air flow, troubleshooting, oil burners, oil tanks and planned maintenance. This course helps prepare students to take the NATE Gas and Oil Heating Certification Exam based on ACCA, NATE and RSES information.
