Course Description

Introduces the student to the various areas and applications in Energy Technology programs, such as Heating and Cooling (HVAC) and Alternative Energies (basics), and explores career choices, tools, and equipment associated with each area/program. Students will be introduced to various types of energy sources and how these apply to electrical wiring, furnaces, air conditioner/refrigeration systems. Students are given an exploratory experience in the early stage of Multi-Skilled Facility Maintenance. The purpose of this course is to explore a sampling of technical and skilled trades as related to Energy Technology and provide students with hands-on experience as related to industry.
