Description

Provides students with the opportunity to analyze specifications, lay out metal stock, set up and operate machine tools, and fit and assemble parts to make and repair dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and machinists' hand tools.

Upon successful completion of this program, students should be able to:

  1. Identify proper equipment needed to construct or repair tools or dies
  2. Perform machine operations safely
  3. Differentiate between common tool and die components
