Assessment of Academic Achievement

The academic achievement will be assessed using a combination of quizzes, exams, assignments, oral presentations, participation, and a departmental comprehensive final exam.

General Course Requirements and Recommendations

Instructors (or their designees) reserve the right to require students to provide picture identification for test taking, graded papers or projects or other appropriate purposes.

Grading Scale

Grading scale for exams and the final grade:

  • 98-100% = A+

  • 93-97% = A

  • 90-92% = A-

  • 87-89% = B+

  • 83-86% = B

  • 80-82% = B-

  • 76-79% = C+

  • 70-75% = C

  • 67-69% = D+

  • 63-66% = D

  • 60-62% = D-

  • 59% & below = E

All students will be required to complete a comprehensive final exam. The final exam must be at least 20% of the final grade.
