Course Goals

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Demonstrate proper volleyball skills: (Passing, setting, spiking, serving, strategy, and court management).
Explain the basic volleyball terminology and history of its evolution.
Explain how the volleyball court is set up, rules of play, basic etiquette, and scoring procedures.
Demonstrate an awareness of healthful eating habits and training as it relates to disease prevention and weight management.
List player positions and how positions interrelate.
Assess fitness levels and demonstrate proper training techniques.
Analyze successful technique of professional volleyball players.
Lead in class tournament play.
