GENRL.AA - Liberal Arts

The Associate of Arts degree is designed to assist students preparing to transfer to a four-year bachelor's degree. Completing HFC's Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts degree helps students transfer to a four-year degree program while providing a broad sampling of academic disciplines typical in the first two years of undergraduate study. By studying these disciplines -- humanities, natural sciences, mathematics, and social sciences -- to meet the requirements of the Michigan Transfer Agreement, students gain a solid foundation for continued study at the bachelor's degree level. Students may choose one of several pathways to focus on a particular discipline, or they may select classes that fulfill specific requirements at an intended transfer institution.
